So, after hearing about Tom's shoes on tv and from other people, I decided to go get some. I needed some comfortable shoes to wear everyday and flip flops are not going work much longer as it gets cold. I had heard that the maker of these shoes give a pair of shoes to a child in need in a foreign country for every pair sold here. So, I decided that was what I wanted to do. I went to Nordstrom and tried them on...So comfortable! I bought them and now I love wearing them, not only because I dont even feel like anything is on my feet, but because I know that some little child in Argentina now has a pair of shoes that they wouldn't normally have. They aren't the cutest shoes in the world, but I love them and they are catching on with people now, so I guess we can all wear ugly shoes for a good cause, right? I knew that once October hit, things would definately be super busy with pumpkin patch photo shoots, Macye's school carnival preparations and making sure everyone gets where they need to be WHEN they need to be there. Our first weekend of the craziness started on Friday. I dropped Macye at school at 8 and at 9, a friend brought her two kiddos over for a few hours while she went to the dr. This actually worked out so great because she has a daughter Miley's age and a baby Mason's age. It is really funny because she has a daughter in kindergarten also and even funnier is that between the two of us we have: Macye, Maggie, Miley Grace, Mollie Grace, Mason and Micah. Try saying that five times fast, even one time slow is hard enough. Mollie Grace is Miley's best buddy. They were in the same preschool class last year and they are in the same Sunday school class this year (MG's mommy is our preschool minister, so she might have had a little something to do with that:) Anyways, the two girls played sooo good together all morning long. And, the two little guys enjoyed looking at someone else their own size for a while. It went very smoothe and we really enjoyed having the two extra M's. So, onto our crazy weekend.

My neighbor accross the street (bless her) also is friends with Mollie Grace's mom. So, at 11:45 she came over to my house to stay with the four kids so I could help with Macye's apple party at her school. So, from 12-2 I was there helping with that. It was alot of fun. They had little stations set up where the kids could do fun things that related to apples. One station was a relay race with apples on a spoon, one was pin the worm on the apple, one was an apple tasting table, one was pictures on a big apple (guess who ran that one:)!) One was making apple jack necklaces and one was painting an apple tree. The kids loved it and Macye has enjoyed eating our left over Mrs. Baird's apple pies since then. She had a blast and I loved being up there to help.

After school, I had to get ready and leave at 3:30 to be at a wedding I was taking pictures of in Weatherford. I was out there so late and my camera started acting up out there. I ended up having to buy a new battery pack and battery on Saturday before my afternoon photo shoot at the pumpkin patch. Which brings me to my next activity. I started the pumpkin patch pics this weekend. I love this time of year because being outside at the pumpkin patch is so fun. It is just cool enough and really enjoyable. After that, we really didn't do anything the rest of the day. The kids and I actually went to bed at 6pm (that has NEVER happened). We slept all night, then got up and went to church, lunch with friends and then home to visit with my grandparents that had come in town and wanted to see the house. My parents and brother and sis in law also came over and hung out for a while. It was a good weekend, but needless to say, totally exhausting!
